International shipping is sent using International Air for parcels under NZ$250 and weighing less than 2kg.  (Maximum length + height + thickness 900mm).  Insurance is included free for parcels up to $250NZD.  

Please select International Courier if your parcel exceeds 2kg or you would like to use their premium courier service.  There is no surcharge for orders over 250NZD.

When can I expect to receive my order?

Orders are normally shipped within 1 business day of funds clearing unless advised.

 

Domestic orders:

Once your order has been packed; your parcel will be delivered by courier, usually overnight. Please allow additional time for rural deliveries.  For NZ Post deliveries (non courier), please allow up to 4 working days nationwide.

 

International orders:

You can expect that your item will usually arrive at its destination within the timeframe specified. Because New Zealand Post does not directly control all parts of the delivery chain, we can’t guarantee that your item will always reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to areas outside major cities, or where your item is dutiable or is held in Customs, may take longer.

We cannot be held responsible for delays due to potential strikes or other disruptions that the courier or other postal services might encounter.

Yes, we deliver to P.O Box addresses.

 

 

Parcel Tracking

 

Domestic orders:

All domestic courier parcels sent within NZ include tracking.   There is no tracking available for small parcels sent via standard NZ Post (non courier).

You will receive a separate shipment notification email when your order has shipped; which includes a link with your tracking number.

Alternatively, you can also manually track your parcel by going into your order and looking for the tracking number next to the field "Tracking ID:"

We use Courierpost for most of our orders, however, we may use Aramex (formerly Fastway) for larger orders; i.e. to send large LEGO sets.  If your tracking number doesn't work with the nz post link above; you can try the link at Aramex https://www.aramex.com/nz/en

International orders:

Tracking is not available for standard "International Air" shipping.  If you require tracking on your parcel, please select the option "International Air Tracked" or "International Courier" at checkout.

You can also enter your unique tracking number (i.e. the number starting with either "LX" if your item was sent via International Air or "UX" if your parcel was sent with International Courier) for any destination providing you know the website for your local postal service for your country.   For example; 

Australian customers:

If you enter the same tracking number on the Australia Post website to track your parcel, it will give you more information about the status of your parcel including an estimated delivery date and updated scans within the internal postal network for your country.  https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/#/search

 

 

Signature Required (Optional). Please request if required.  In the event that you or a member of your household are not available, a card will be left for you to arrange redelivery or collection at your local courier office.

 

 

 

Returns / Cancelations

Returns are accepted, but the item must be in the same condition it was sent.  I.e. unused and still sealed.  Return shipping is paid by the buyer.  I will refund the full amount less the following;

1. The BrickOwl fee

2. The difference in the actual shipping fee if it is more than what you paid (irrespective if you received free shipping; or have been offered a subsidised flat rate).  If you received free shipping for your order, the full shipping cost will be payable.  If you have paid shipping and the actual shipping was higher than what you paid, the difference between the flat rate paid and the actual cost will be charged.

3. 20% restocking fee on the FULL amount paid or 0.25c per lot, whichever is higher.  

4. If your order has not been packed, there are no fees.  Please let us know ASAP.

 

 

Lost or Damaged parcels

The majority of parcels make it safely to their destination; but sometimes it doesn't always go as planned.

In the unlikely event your parcel is lost (or damaged) during transit; your cooperation may be required to help make a claim with NZ Post.  All parcels are covered under insurance so you don't have to worry; but we still need to go through the proper process to recoup any loss and complete the refund back to you.  

Please allow some time for NZ Post to process the investigation.  For domestic matters, please expect one to two weeks to pass from your initial interaction before NZ Post make contact again, and longer if the issue is complex.  We appreciate your patience during this time and thank you for your understanding.

Special Delivery Instructions / Authority to Leave

By giving authority for the courier to sign for and request for us to write "Please leave your parcel at the front door" etc, you acknowledge that NZ Post will not be liable in any way for any loss or damage to the parcel left at the address in accordance with your instructions.  

Parcels will be left at your own risk.  You will NOT be compensated if your parcel is stolen from your premises or is damaged.  (This is a NZ Post policy and it affects our ability to make a claim with them).
